Indigo Dyeing workshop with Mechanicsville quilt club!
We offer on site dye workshops. Workshops are available for corporate events, team building, dye parties and just because its fun for you and you friends. We also can offer at class at your business for your clients such as wineries, breweries, nurseries, and shops!

Indigo Shibori Dyeing: Learn the existing in’s and out’s of indigo dyeing using shiobri techniques. You will learn the unique process of vat dyeing with indigo, creating your own patterns insprired by traditional and modern pattern designs. Students will explore how to make, dye, and maintain their own indigo vat. Explore the endless ranges of blues indigo can offer on a variety of fabrics. Students are encouraged or bring additional items to dye. Classes are from 10 am- 2:30 pm $60 tuition $40 material fee

Shibori and Batik Dyeing: Learn the existing in’s and out’s of indigo dyeing using shiobri techniques and batik resists. Explore shibori dyeing with indigo, creating traditional and modern designs using beeswax to create more painterly designs on cloth. Students will explore the endless range of blues indigo can offer on a variety of fabrics, as well as maintaining their own vat. Students are encouraged to bring additional items to dye. Classes are on Saturdays from 10 am - 4 pm. $60 tuition $42 material fee
